When two people decide to spend the rest of eternity together, it is a good tradition to make gifts and whish them well.
But a simple gift is just that: simple.
Being a geek type, I have to make things complicated, for example by making a special packaging for the gift.

The "making" aspect is important here. It can have results that make the packaging the actual gift.

In the case of the wooden box with Brio-Labyrinth lock I made for Toby, the box is really just a packaging and has no other use - aprt from entertaining all the kids present at the wedding and keeping them busy for two hours (which may be considered a gift in itself :-)

In the case of the self-raising desklamp for Anna-Barbara, the "packaging" became a gift in its own right. The content was my brothers and my mothers gifts to the young couple.
